FROM "AIGUILLE DU MIDI"
This is the most mythical and majestic glacier hike in Chamonix: the “Vallée Blanche”! A hike at an altitude of 3400 meters with an exceptional panorama of the most beautiful Italian and French peaks.
You will cross the Vallée Blanche and Géant glaciers between the Aiguille du Midi and Helbronner to reach Italy.
Required level: a good physical condition and not be sensitive to vertigo. You will have to descend the ridge of the Aiguille du Midi which can be impressive if you are subject to it. You will be roped together, 2 people per guide.
Schedule:
- Meet your mountain guide at the bottom of the Aiguille du Midi cable car. Have a short briefing and take the cable car to reach an altitude of 3842 metres.
- Once at the top, descend the snowy ridge equipped with crampons and roped up to reach the glacier / Cross the Vallée Blanche and Géant glaciers / Walk among the seracs* and up the Italian side to Pointe Helbronner.
- The magnificent view of the Matterhorn and Mote Rosa awaits you on the Italian side
- Return to the Aiguille du Midi with the Panoramic Mont Blanc gondola, descent to Chamonix by cable car.
* A serac is a block or column of glacial ice, often formed by intersecting crevasses on a glacier.
FROM HELBRONNER POINT / ITALY
Admire the breathtaking view of the Italian side of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks over 4000 meters. With your guide, set off on a glacier hike in this high mountain universe, between seracs and crevasses, and reach the Aiguille du Midi in France.
Required level: glacier hike without great technical difficulty, beginners are accepted however, the altitude and the distance covered require you to be in good physical condition.
Schedule:
- Meet your high mountain guide in Chamonix Sud at the bus station. Travel by bus to the start of the Skyway cable car in Courmayeur, just at the exit of the Mont Blanc Tunnel.
- Ascent the Skyway (cable car) to Pointe Helbronner.
- Roped up glacier walk towards the Aiguille du Midi in the very heart of the high mountains, between seracs and crevasses. You will be surrounded by peaks more than 4000 meters high.
- Then go back up to Helbronner and go back down the Skyway cable car to return to Chamonix through the Mont Blanc tunnel.

- From Aiguille du Midi: Your round trip ticket fare for the "Aiguille du Midi" cable car (69 € per person) and the return ticket for the "Panoramic Mont Blanc" (33,50 € per person)
- From Helbronner: Round trip transport ticket Chamonix - Courmayeur - Chamonix (30 € per person) and the Skyway cable car ticket (55 € per person)
NECESSARY EQUIPMENT:
Technical equipment: 5 Litre backpack, crampons, walking pole, ice pick, mountaineering boots, climbing harness and a helmet,
Clothing: hiking pants, fleece jacket, windproof jacket, gloves...
Additional equipment: Sunglasses, sunscreen, food and drinks.

Booking Policy
Full payment is required at reservation.
Booking needs to be made at least 48 hours in advance.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations:
- 20% is non refundable at time of booking.
- Less than 15 days and up to 7 days before the start of your activity: 20% is forfeited plus a 15€ administration fee is applicable on any reservation less than 300€. A 30€ administration charge is applicable on any reservation of 300€ or more.
- 100% forfeited if cancelled within 7 days prior to activity starts.
Change requests:
- Reservation changes after a service/activity is confirmed is subject to a $35 change fee.
Insurance:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The provider shall not be held liable for any harm, injury or damage sustained by any participant during any the performance of any activity. The provider holds public liability insurance which shall only be used and activated when The provider is found to be at fault by a competent court of justice.
The provider does not insure participants during the performance of any activity and strongly recommends that each participant purchases separate individual accident or travel insurance from a company of their choice.
All participants shall be responsible for their own actions and shall take responsibility for their own person and those around them. All participants shall be held fully responsible for any harm, injury or damage occasioned by them to any third party.
All participants accept and acknowledge that The provider’s public liability insurance shall not cover such incidents.
ACCIDENTS
In the event of an accident, the instructor shall initiate and manage the rescue and evacuation procedures until the arrival of the on-site competent authority (piste security, fire brigade, doctor, police,etc.).
The provider shall complete an accident report with the relevant instructor and the same shall be communicated to the injured party.
All costs associated with the accident, including any costs of assistance and evacuation shall be borne by the participant.
In the case of an accident or sickness which prevents the person from participating in an activity, The provider will not provide a direct refund. The provider shall however complete an accident/sickness certificate that should be presented to the participant’s insurance in order to obtain a refund on the activity. It is therefore advisable for clients to inform themselves on insurance options prior to the activity.
