Of course, the Cote D'Azur is a beachgoer's bliss, and so you must also make sure to spend time at the very best of the beaches. Most agree that the following are among the very finest.
Outside of Nice, this beach is viewed as one of the finest and the most opulent. It is great for diving, sightseeing the many mansions on the shore and enjoying the pleasant paths to the public beaches.
All in Cannes, they can be crowded but they are located in truly charming districts, offer some of the best amenities (including cafes nearby), and are public, making them great for families.
Both in Antibes, they are considered to be among the "rich and famous" beaches, and are part of the 48 or so beaches that line the coastal area here. With soft sands, gentle waves, and good amenities, they are must see beaches.
Both in the lovely and popular Villefranche sur mer, they are close to the fishing village, convenient to Nice, and in sight of the lovely Old Town area. These are the beaches familiar to moviegoers, and many recognize scenes from Bond movies, Hitchcock classics, and others.
All three are part of Saint Tropez and designed to model canals of Venice. Popular with boaters and water sports enthusiasts, the beaches are busy but so well designed as to not feel crowded or unpleasant. Children in particular love the Royal Canadel.
