Off the western coast of Italy, the island of Sardinia can be reached via plane or boat. There are three airports on the island, two are international in nature, and the third is domestic - emphasizing in-island flights.

The largest and busiest of the three is the Cagliari-Elmas Airport near the city of Cagliari. Served directly by European carriers, it is the most common point of arrival. The Olbia Airport is also served directly by airlines in Europe, but is also the most popular for travelers heading to the Costa Smeralda area of the island. Lastly, the Alghero-Fertilia Airport is near Alghero and is viewed as the domestic airport (but with flights to some parts of Europe). For those traveling from outside of Europe, you will need to book a connecting flight from mainland Europe, as no direct international flights arrive in Sardinia.

WHAT OUR GUESTS ARE SAYING

"Isle Blue is everything they say they are. They were a pleasure to deal with and were very responsive and informative. The pictures on their website are exactly what you end up getting and they provide full concierge service throughout your stay. My family and I had an amazing time and before we even returned home, we went to the Isle Blue website to check out their inventory for our next vacation. They really are just that good!"
