La Casa Jumby Bay Antigua. Does the idea of a large, classic Italianate villa tucked into three acres of private gardens and set on a private beach appeal to you? If so, the remarkable La Casa in Antigua is a good choice. Part of the Jumby Bay, it overlooks Pasture Bay and offers visitors an immense private beach furnished with a gazebo. Of course, as part of a resort, it also provides visitors with all of the amenities and services of the property.
Use of the yoga pavilion, fitness center, gourmet restaurants, tennis courts, and other beaches (along with any water sports) are part of the experience. There is a special pavilion for children as well, and the villa comes with a full staff that includes a butler, chef and housekeeper.
Along with the expansive gardens and grounds, the property also features an enormous pool terrace. Framed with columned porticos and mature gardens, it is an infinity-edge pool that faces towards the sea and offers a fantastic space for gathering at all hours. It backs onto the elegant covered terrace. With classic arches and pillars, it opens into the interior spaces, and great room that faces the courtyard as well. Enter through the courtyard and marvel at the classic fountain, colorful exterior, and immediate sense of elegance and charm.
There are many lavish indoor or outdoor living spaces to savor. The portico area is fully furnished in a classic Caribbean style, and the interiors use a more contemporary spin, featuring darker wood along with the more neutral textiles and art. There are several lounges and salons, a media room, a large outdoor dining room, and the enormous kitchen.
The six bedrooms are divided among the main villa and three guest cottages. Each bedroom is a fantastic suite with large, private bath, views and terraces, and luxurious décor.
Ideal for a large group, La Casa could also be the perfect choice for a small, intimate, destination event.
