The Last Castle Provence. Tucked into one of the must-see areas of Provence is the charming Villa the Last Castle. Its location is as dramatic as its name implies, and the views are truly stunning. Built with the natural landscape in mind, it is made entirely of stone and seems to have emerged from the surrounding, natural stones in a wonderfully fluid way. Mature gardens, ancient olives and climbing vines only enhance your sense of being in a castle-like setting.
To ensure you make the most of a stay, the property features an abundance of exterior living spaces. One that is sure to delight all is the beautiful pool terrace. The smooth and curving lines of the pool and surrounding stone terrace create a wonderful balance to the stone and lines of the villa and the gardens in beyond. On terraces above, guests will savor time beneath the vine covered pergola where al fresco dining is the order of the day. Many seating areas are also covertly tucked throughout the grounds, and most visitors enjoy spending time exploring and discovering their favorites.
Inside, the historic setting is emphasized by the overall design and décor. The great room features a massive fireplace, and one wall is made of the enormous natural stones upon which the villa is built. Hefty beams add another element. Nearby is a spacious dining area and just steps from there is comprehensive, colorful and luxurious kitchen. The stairs to the next level are carved into the stone and you will be unable to think of yourself as anywhere but a castle.
The three bedrooms are on upper or lower levels, and two are opulent master suites. One is a king suite, with fireplace, terrace access and enormous private bath. The other is on the lower level, is a queen and features a terrace. There is also a third, queen suite with private bath and terrace.
If you yearn for the ultimate in romance and beauty, it may be difficult to match the Villa the Last Castle.
