Villa Fiori Di Melo, Chianti, Tuscany an elegant villa, stands surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and woods, overlooking the old dome of Arezzo, in a very quiet location on the south-west side of Tuscany.
This large, classical Tuscan building, located on a hillside and surrounded by a number of medieval villages, has retained its original architectural structure however it has been completely renovated in 1980 and maintained its ancient 'flavour', as per the owner's - a world famous wine tycoon - desire.
The simple and traditional furniture, the comfort, the swimming pool with great views and the entire setting make this villa the ideal spot for a great family and friends experience, not far from famous Chianti Senese and Val d'Orcia, with castles, monasteries of Verna, Camaldoli and those famous vineyards and Tuscan landscapes.
The present farmhouse settlement is on the ancient trade route which departed from the Adriatic coast, passed through the entire valley, climbed over the hills of this area and ended in Arezzo. Along this route, which ends just below the city walls, the watch towers and toll gates are still visible today, demonstrating its strategic value and importance for trade. This valley was under the feudal control of several important families, in fact. The first document proving the existence of vineyards on the property is dated 1416, when the proprietor sold a vineyard to finance the painting of the frescoes in the family Chapel by Piero della Francesca.
The Weekly Rate includes : Concierge service by telephone daily 10am > 7pm, housekeeping service 5 days per week, estate manager on call, gardener, pool cleaning and utilities (water, electricity, cooking gas & WiFi). Additional cost : heating, payable locally.
