Villa Lavise in the Umbria area near Tuscany is on the crown of a hill, deep in the countryside amid open, rolling hills and endless views. Featuring great exteriors and surroundings, is a perfect sample of the countryside life in this particular area : everything is green, the exterior area is scented like flowers blossoming in spring (lavender) and the entire experience it is quintessentially Italian.

Originally a 14th century farmhouse, Lavise offers spectacular 360 degree views across the valley located in the heart of a natural reserve surrounded by woods, olive trees and green valleys. With its thick stone walls and stone tiled floors, this ancient building stays cool during the summer months, while the sun nourishes the verdant grounds around it. Consisting of a comfortably furnished living area and with three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and can accommodate up to 6 guests.

Guest can swim in the private heated pool with its endless peaceful views. They can walk across the nature reserve, relax in the shadow of a timeworn tree or play a round of golf at the 18h hole golf course nearby or enjoy a glass of "Prosecco" at the golf clubhouse bar just minutes away from the villa.

The pleasure of silence, the enchanting surroundings, the proximity to a number of small villages - one, very very small, is reachable on foot although we would recommend to use the car - with restaurants, bread shops, organic markets, artisans shops, hidden little churches and monuments, not to mention proximity to Perugia and Cortona are all part of the best package and experience a villa traveler would want.

Villa Lavise has the advantage of being situated in the very centre of Umbria, an area where the simple pleasures of country living embrace art, history and architecture offering wonderful food and wine in nearby towns throughout the two adjoining regions of Lazio and Tuscany. Florence and Rome are within two hours' drive of the estate and Siena, Arezzo, Assisi, Gubbio, Todi and Orvieto are all closeby. The region's capital city Perugia is just twenty minutes away and offers a wealth of cultural activities that include opera and the famous Umbria Jazz and Eurochocolate festivals. Other spectacular hilltop towns include Cortona and Preggio, the latter with its annual classical music festival, as well as the annual Montone Film Festival which attracts an international audience.

The Umbria region is exquisite, mystical, peaceful, and best of all, unspoiled. Centrally located, this one landlocked region of Italy is often referred to as the green heart of the country and it is an especially verdant region of mountains, rolling green hills, forests, tumbling rivers, lush farming land, hiking trails, vineyards, and awe inspiring and time transporting views. Out of Umbria come extraordinary and highly regarded wines, both red and white, olive oils, whole grains, exquisite truffles, first rate prosciutto, sausages and other pork products, honeys, cheeses - and much more.
