    Covid-19 Entry Requirements for the Maldives

    Check list for traveling to the Maldives during COVID

    Entry requirement without vaccination completion

    • All traveler must submit online Health Declaration from within 24 hours prior to their departure to the Maldives. See the form HERE.

    • All travelers must hold a negative COVID-19 PCR test result with a sample taken no more than 96 hours prior to their departure to the Maldives.

    • All travelers except children below 1 year, are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine for 10 days in their place of residency or work. Such passengers must obtain a COVID-19 negative PCR test result before they are released from quarantine. After arrival, within 12 to 24 hours these travelers are mandated to get registered on https://haalubelun.hpa.gov.mv/ portal.

    Tourists are required to follow guidelines in place by the Ministry of Tourism https://tourism.gov.mv

    Travelers who develop COVID-19 signs and symptoms will be tested for COVID-19 and if the test result is positive, the traveler will be subject to isolation as per the Health Protection Agency protocols. Travelers who are contacts of COVID-19 cases will be subject to quarantine as per the Health Protection Agency protocols.

    Entry requirement with vaccination completion

    Effective from 20th April 2021 onwards, the requirement for negative PCR test and mandatory Quarantine does not apply for travelers who present proof of completion of Vaccination (i.e. WHO's EUL listed and/or Maldives Food and Drug Authority approved vaccines only) followed by the completion of 14 days period prior to arrival in the Maldives. To get exemption from presenting COVID test results and Quarantine requirements, travelers must:

    • Have a proof of completion of COVID19 vaccination and shall upload a copy of the document to the IMUGA / Traveller Health Declaration portal.

    • Type in the Date(s) of receiving of dose(s) and Brand name of COVID19 vaccine in Health Declaration Online Form.

    Proof of vaccination shall contain:

    • Name of recipient,

    • Date of Birth,

    • Date(s) of receiving of dose(s),

    • Given Name of the COVID19 vaccine

    • Name of the Institution/center that administered the vaccine.
