If you need more sporting activities during your vacation, you will find one of the best tennis resorts in Mexico on the peninsula. There are five courts in total with five being hard courts and the other half using synthetic grass. All of them are lit up for nighttime play, and there is also a pro shop and locker room available.

If you want to dine on upscale Mexican cuisine, then Tuna Blanca will be your ideal restaurant. The chef, Thierry Blouet, takes local ingredients and turns them into contemporary dishes with tons of flavor. You will enjoy menu items like the Shrimp Temazcal or the Octopus Ceviche. There is also a curated list of international and Mexican wines to enjoy.

Breakfast calls for free-range eggs And fresh-made bread which is why Naef Cafe should be on your vacation dining list. The kitchen is well known for having the best coffee around, and there is an ice-cream shop full of homemade flavors if you stop by during the afternoon hours.

If you want an authentic dining experience, Norma’s Tacos is an absolute must. This is a true family restaurant as diners are served on the family’s front porch. You can bring your own beer which can be purchased from the small market down the street, or you can try one of the special house beverages like the agua de avena which is made from oatmeal. This spot is closed on Wednesdays, so plan to stop by some other day of the week.

Punta Mercedes is a fusion restaurant that blends Italian flavors with those from Argentina using local vegetables and freshly caught seafood. The lobster pizza is a crowd favorite, and there are beachfront tables where you can enjoy the sunset while you dine.

Another high-end spot, Casa Teresa is an Italian restaurant that is family owned and features a grotto-style bar. The decor trends toward the opulent, and the food is a celebration of the flavors of the Italian region of Sicily. There are traditional dishes paired with local ingredients, and the wine list is quite extensive. This is an excellent spot for a romantic dinner for two if you are celebrating your honeymoon or anniversary on your Punta Mita vacation.

Taking the food truck concept to a whole new level, the Mita Mary Bistro Boat is a food boat! This eatery offers casual seafood options, and the boat is anchored on the shore of the St. Regis beachfront property.

To reach this secluded beach, you will need to take a boat ride to Marieta Island. Snorkeling is amazing at Hidden Beach because the area is protected, which means it is absolutely teeming with marine life.

Bucerias Beach is absolutely stunning, but it will take a thirty-minute drive to reach this five-mile stretch of beach. This portion of the Bay of Banderas is popular with the locals, and you will find plenty of activities to enjoy like kayaking and body surfing. The sailing is also pretty good in this spot because the wind can get quite hearty.

If you are traveling with your family, Anclote Beach will be the perfect spot. The shimmering white sands and the gentle surf make it easy for even little kids to play in the waves. There are places on the beach where you can rent snorkel equipment, and there are restaurants nearby.

If you want to experience some of the best surfing in the area, you will need to take a boat ride to La Lancha Beach. Playa de los Muertos is located nearby in Sayulita, and it is a bit of a hidden gem. You will find the absolute best weather for a Punta Mita trip from mid-December through early April. This is when the average temperature and the daily humidity levels are the most pleasant.
