Val D’Isere Opening Weekend
Opening weekend, also known as First Tracks Weekend, features a major special event to kick off the the 2019-2020 ski season at Val D’Isere. On November 30, the Ski Domain will be opening its gates and lifts for another year on the peaks.
During the celebration weekend, the Ski Force Winter Tour will be in the resort offering all the new ski and boards for free testing. At the end of the afternoon, warm up with hot drinks and join the organization team for prize draw to win ski and board gear. In the evening, enjoy live music in the village center.
Alpine Ski World Cup
The winter months also see the 64th Criterium De La Première Neige. Alpine Skiing World Cup occurring December 14 to 15 and December 19 to 22 (men compete the first weekend and women the second). A special concert along with a slate of special activities will occur alongside the skiing competitions.
Magic of Christmas
The Magic of Christmas event (December 22-25) features everything from a torch-lit descent, concerts and snow sculptures to the arrival of Father Christmas in the village on December 24.
Festi Light
On New Year's Eve and every Thursday from January 10th to March 7th. Every Festi Light evening of the season lights up the heart of the village. The main street is magically transformed into a snow covered pedestrian zone where the many twinkling AIRSTAR lights transport you to a dreamlike world of fantasy with jugglers musicians, DJ's, ice sculptors etc.
La Scara
From March 31 La Scara offers a chance for people aged 12-15 to compete in for the 40th Edition of the Alpine Skiing World Cup to provide a glimpse to the future of Alpine World Cup Skiing
