Getting to Anguilla is easy, although it takes an extra step to reach your final destination unless you are travelling from a neighboring island. The fact that Anguilla is slightly off the beaten path has its benefits, since it encourages the island to remain an uncrowded tropical paradise.

Most visitors to Anguilla take a non-stop flight to nearby St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) from east coast cities like New York’s JFK, Charlotte (CLT) and Miami (MIA), or from several departure sites in Canada or Europe. When you get to St. Maarten, take an eight minute flight via Winair, Trans Anguilla or Anguilla Air Service, or take the ferry  from Marigot in St. Martin to Blowing Point in Anguilla.

Private charter boats can be arranged and they depart from a boat dock near the airport for a quick and easy transfer to Anguilla.

You will need to have a valid passport and clear customs in St. Maarten. Other options for getting to Anguilla are flying into San Juan, Puerto Rico and taking Cape Air or Anguilla Air Express, or flying into St. Thomas and hopping a LIAT flight to reach Anguilla’s airport (code AXA).
