Amazing Anguilla

Spending time at the dazzling white sand beaches on Anguilla is definitely the activity of choice on this tropical island paradise. The warm, clear water is perfect for snorkeling and diving to see the amazing sealife just offshore. When you are ready to participate in all that the island has to offer, play a round of golf at the Greg Norman signature course, take a leisurely horseback ride along the beach or just chill at a waterside beach bar. If you get the urge to explore beyond the borders of Anguilla, jump on a quick flight to St. Martin for an island-hopping excursion.

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving in Anguilla

Anguilla is ringed by coral reefs and has ocean visibility of up to 100 feet below the water’s surface, so it is no surprise that snorkeling is one of the main sports on the island. Just don your mask, fins and snorkel and wade out into the water to explore the shallow reefs. Shoal Bay Beach is one of the most popular sites, although you can find even better snorkeling at isolated Little Bay Beach, which is accessible by boat. Scuba divers delve deeper into the water to appreciate the colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, eels and rays. Shipwrecks around the island create an artificial reef that is considered part of Anguilla’s marine park system.

Swimming with the Dolphins

For an up close and personal sea life experience, swim with the dolphins and create a lasting memory. Reserve your spot at one of the dolphin adventure sites and jump into the clear turquoise water for an unforgettable encounter with these fascinating sea creatures. Be prepared to be kissed, hugged and even towed across the water.

The Ultimate Caribbean Golf Experience

Secure a tee time at the Cuisinart Golf Club for a memorable day on the links. This Greg Norman designed 18-hole championship course offers breathtaking vistas and challenging holes. Start off with a view of St. Martin and the Caribbean Sea at the tee box of the first hole, and find elevated greens, large tropical sea grape trees and a pond that enhance the course.

Chill at a Beach Bar

Anguilla is known for its wide array of beach bars, and Uncle Ernie’s at Shoal Bay is one of the best known. This unpretentious waterside eatery is open for lunch and dinner and offers a menu including crab, lobster and Uncle Ernie’ famous rum punch. Enjoy live music on Sundays. For reggae lovers, a visit to Dune Preserve to hear the music of recording artist Bankie Banx is a must.

Ride a Horse along the Beach

Let the world fall away when you reserve your horse for a leisurely ride along the beach. Allow your horse to step into the sea and swim on horseback for an unforgettable experience.

An Island-Hopping Adventure

Take a short plane ride to neighboring St. Martin and have lunch at a harborside French restaurant, and do some duty-free shopping at designer boutiques. Then plan a day to explore the off-island cays and hidden beaches around Anguilla on a private boat charter. Travel to nearby Sandy Island, Dog Island, Scrub Island, Little Bay and Prickly Pear for a true Robinson Caruso experience.
