Our first stop is Flower Forest Botanical Gardens. Flower Forest Botanical Gardens is a horticultural park and tourist attraction near the village of Bloomsbury, Saint Joseph in Barbados. It is a scenic garden park with attractive flowering plants and tropical trees. The 50-acre property was formerly a sugar plantation
Our next stop is Huntes Gardens. Hunte's Gardens is a botanical garden and significant tourist attraction in the St Joseph Area of central Barbados. It was created from the 1950s by horticulturist Anthony Hunte in an unusual sink-hole-like gully. This garden is world renowned and is one of the top attractions in the entire Caribbean.
Before our final garden of the day we will make a stop for lunch in the scenic costal town of Bathsheba. Bathsheba Beach, which sits on Barbados' east coast, is a photographer's and surfer's paradise. For photographers, Bathsheba offers dramatic rock formations. And for surfers, there's the beach's famous Soup Bowl, where top-notch waves can be found. Named after the area's foamy water, the Soup Bowl is so well-known that international surfing competitions are regularly held here. Do not, however, plan on swimming at Bathsheba. Because of the region's rough waters and rock formations, it is not safe to swim there. Our Lunch Stop for this tour is in Bathsheba
Our last but certainly not least enjoyable stop for the day will be Andromeda Botanic Gardens was created by Iris Bannochie in (1914-1988). Mrs Bannochie was the foremost horticulturalist in Barbados; winner of three Gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show; recipient of the Silver Crown of Merit issued by the government of Barbados; and she was awarded the prestigious Veitch Medal by the Royal Horticultural Society, England. The garden Iris’ private retreat for 22 years and was opened to the public in 1976. Described as 'unique and outstanding' by a leader of global garden tours, the variety of plants is incredible and represents the most plant diverse area in Barbados.
