Chalet Amnesia Courchevel. One look at the exterior or interior of the five-bedroom Chalet Amnesia and you may fall under its spell, forgetting any other chalet you have ever visited in the French Alps before. Located in the Moriond neighborhood at Courchevel 1650, it is a ski-in / ski-out property loaded with premium services and amenities as well as being a visually stunning property.
Unlike many villas, this one uses an all-white palette indoors and out, with the gingerbread covered exterior in a blonde wood accented with rich green shutters. Even the stonework of the multi-level chalet is pale and white. Inside, the ceilings, floors, walls and furnishings are done in the same pale hues, but this does not make it austere or unwelcoming. In fact, this is one of the most comfortable and tranquil places to enjoy time off the slopes.
The great room features a white-washed stone fireplace, a massive silver banquette, blonde wood floors and a glass topped dining table with comfortably sized, white upholstered chairs. Fresh flowers, a welcome reception with champagne and your daily chef-prepared breakfasts can all be enjoyed here. The gourmet kitchen is also a streamlined space with a silver and white palette to capture the light from outdoors and inspire you to prepare meals or snacks at any hour. The center hall features a curved stair to the next level, and this space too is done in glass and white with bold wall art and décor.
The wellness level on the ground floor features a large Jacuzzi and a separate hammam, as well as the ski room. The bedrooms are divided between the ground and the second floors, with each being a marvelous and spacious retreat. There are two king suites with separate offices or dressing rooms, enormous bathtubs in their ensuite baths and premium entertainment systems. The rest feature dual single beds, ensuite baths and one has an office.
