Important:

• While pregnant women can visit Dunn’s River Falls, climbing the waterfall itself may not be advisable. Pregnant women can still enjoy the scenic views, relax on the beach, and walk along the paths beside the falls without engaging in the climb.
• For those with mobility impairments, including elderly individuals or those with joint or balance issues, the climb could be too challenging. However, there are viewing platforms and paths around the falls where visitors can still enjoy the beauty of the falls without climbing. They can also relax at the beach.
• While there are no strict age restrictions, the climb can be demanding for younger children. Families with small children under age 7 can still explore the lower sections of the falls or stick to the surrounding areas rather than trying the full climb.
• Closed-toe water shoes are recommended for better grip and protection while climbing. They can be purchased or rented on-site if needed.
• The climb requires a moderate level of physical fitness. Guides are available to help, and climbers usually form human chains for added support. Water shoes with good grip are essential.
• ​Guests who do not wish to get wet are welcome to take the dry walk alongside the falls. Admire the beauty of foliage and if you so choose, enter the falls along the way for a quick dip in the water. You can also take pictures of friends and family members while they climb during your dry walk.
• The water temperature at the Falls is pretty consistent year-round. On rainy days expect the water to be a bit colder. Similarly, on hot sunny days, the water temperature at Dunn’s River Falls is less likely to be cold but cool and refreshing.
