The Rum and Chocolate Tasting in Soufriere packs in hours of fun for vacationers every Friday morning. Start by sailing down to Soufriere where you’ll see the Pitons and visit Toraille Waterfall. You can take a tour of the drive-in volcano or enjoy the rejuvenating mud baths. Next, you’ll spend time at Morne Coubaril Estate, where all of the chocolates and rums are made locally. Spend time in an 18th-century sugar cane plantation where cane juice is transformed into excellent rum.
St Lucia is known for chocolate and you can watch it being made. Learn more about the process and then take time afterward to sample both rum and chocolate. A buffet lunch will also be served for guests. Next, head to a St Lucia bay for snorkeling and swimming, and remember to take photos of the gorgeous Marigot Bay. The guides will teach you island dances before you head back to land.
Note: Only guests over 17 can drink alcohol. For those under 17, they can have cocoa tea tasting instead of the rum tasting.
