Welcome to Hacienda Barranca, an authentic Spanish hacienda nestled against the San Jacinto foothills, offers a secluded retreat with sweeping mountain views. Located in the Mesa neighborhood, it’s just minutes from downtown Palm Springs, golf courses, parks, and hiking trails. This custom home, steeped in Hollywood history, was once owned by Jerry Weintraub, the producer of *Ocean’s Eleven*, who bought it sight unseen during a poker game with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and George Hamilton. Weintraub loved the property so much that he lived there for nearly 20 years.
The hacienda’s design evokes a European villa with its terracotta roofs, stacked-stone walls, and naturally landscaped grounds. The outdoor space is perfect for relaxation and entertainment, featuring a desert garden, a custom-built pergola, a poolside lounger, and a mountainside firepit for stargazing. Additional amenities include a family-style dining table by an outdoor fireplace, a BBQ grill, and a large stone saline hot tub. The artisan-crafted details, from the cobalt-blue mosaic tile of the swimming pool to the intricate woodwork, add unique touches throughout.
Inside, the 3-bedroom home combines modern comfort with Spanish-inspired decor and original artwork. The open-concept living and dining area features ivory sofas framing a stacked-stone fireplace, with glass French doors offering views of the desert garden. A separate media room provides a cozy spot for movie nights with a large-screen TV. The kitchen is equipped with alder wood cabinets, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Viking gas range, and a wine cooler, complemented by a wall-mounted TV and a breakfast bar with high-top stools for social cooking.
Exploring the area is easy, with the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway just 15 minutes away and Joshua Tree National Park within an hour’s drive. With its resort-style amenities, mountainside privacy, and ample space for entertaining, Hacienda Barranca might just be a place you’ll never want to leave.

Terms and conditions
Credit is based on total booking value before taxes and fees. Credit applies to experiences only and cannot be used toward villa rental, taxes, or fees. Credit must be used during the booked stay and expires at checkout. Cannot be combined with other offers and has no cash value. Valid only on new reservations made within the booking window. Concierge service must be booked directly through our website and does not apply to third-party providers or external websites.
Maximum Short-Term Rental Stay
Please note that, due to local regulations, short-term rental reservations are limited to a maximum stay of 28 consecutive nights. Requests for stays exceeding 28 nights cannot be accommodated under short-term rental regulations and may be subject to different rental terms, policies, and procedures.
