Sitting in the hills above Falmouth Harbour in Antigua, the Villa Alagana House is one of the first villas to be built on the island. It has been beautifully maintained and restored, and it offers a stunning range of amenities that make it a world-class destination. For most visitors, it is the pool terrace that is the show stopper, and that is because it really captures the amazing views.

An infinity-edge design, the pool is an unusual wedge shape that is framed by the warm stone terrace. Furnished with lounges and canopied areas for shade, it is a wonderful spot for whiling away the hours or catching the sunsets. It also features an elegant dining gazebo with full-sized barbecue and dining suite. Adjacent to it is the outdoor living room with tropical, rattan sofas and chairs, you may find yourself refusing to leave this spot with its views and comforts.

However, the interior of the villa offers great style and fine amenities too. There is a family room with entertainment system, and it is decorated in a colorful and relaxing style. Nearby is another dining room done in an appealing island décor and opening to the terrace. Take the French door from the dining room and you enter the modern and stunning kitchen. A true gourmet's space, it offers marble countertops, high-end appliances, and great views. The breakfast bar is going to quickly become a popular gathering spot.

Each of the three bedrooms is a stunning retreat. The king suite offers a four-poster bed with canopy of netting, a sitting area and desk, and access to a private terrace. Another king suite opens to a private terrace, features garden views and is decorated in truly welcoming style. The final bedroom suite offers two twins and brilliant hues that make it a vibrant spot for kids or teens. All are ensuite with luxury fixtures and amenities.

The Villa Alagana House is a stunner and you will savor every moment you spend in its wonderful surroundings.

Note : Solar energy is standard throughout the home including solar heated hot water and pool filtration.  

The rental rates include : Welcome upon arrival and villa orientation, housekeeping service 2 days per week, pool technician weekly, gardener regularly, villa manager on call and utilities (water, electricity, BBQ gas, WiFi internet coverage). Provisions and staff gratuities are not included.

Getting to Alagana House : A local representative will meet the guests at the airport where their rental car will be waiting for them, and then escort them to the villa.

Cancellation 90 days or less, 100% of gross rental is forfeited. Please note all Christmas and New Years reservations are non-refundable.
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Isle Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.

Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Isle Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.
In the near future, we expect to accept a greater variety of payment methods and currencies via Stripe.
Is housekeeping included? click to open
Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Policies section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.
Are towels and linens provided? click to open
Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.
Are toiletries and tissues provided? click to open
A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.
Is a hair dryer available? click to open
A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.
Is an iron included? click to open
Typically yes, irons tend to be standard equipment for vacation homes. Please ask the property representative upon orientation for the location of the iron.

Covid 19 Policy

Covid-19 : Modified Payment Policy
For new bookings with travel dates up until 15 December 2020, the property manager is modifying the payment policy as follows : 

~ 30% deposit due at the time of booking to confirm the reservation 
~ Balance due 30 days prior to arrival

Covid-19 : Modified Cancellation Policy
For new bookings with travel dates up to 15 December 2020, the property manager is modifying the cancellation policy as follows : 

~ If guests cancel the reservation more than 14 days prior to the arrival, 100% of the Gross Rental will be refunded.  
~ If guests cancel the reservation within 14 days of the arrival date, 100% of the Gross Rental will be forfeited. Unless it is due to certified COVID reasons, where they would extend a voucher for the full amount paid for future use. COVID reasons include but are not limited to closing airports on either end, airline cancellations, certified sickness...

The Covid-19 Modified Cancellation Policy is applicable in the event that :

1. The Antigua government refuses passengers’ entry based on their origin (whether by residence, recent travel to a particular destination, or based on flight origin).
2. A Foreign government issues a specific travel ban to or from Antigua that prevents a guest from traveling.
3. A Level 3 CDC Warning or Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) Advisory against Antigua must exist.

The Alagana House was lovely. It was very comfortable, with plenty of comfy places to sit and spread out. We loved the large, covered outdoor space. The views, especially at sunset, were spectacular. The beds were very comfortable and linens and towels were seemed soft and high quality. The kitchen was really one of the best supplied kitchens we've had in a rental house.
We didn't do a lot of cooking, but even for preparing breakfast or afternoon drinks and snacks, we found everything we needed (especially great was that there were good, sharp chef knives- very rare commodity in rental homes!).
The pool was small, but for us it was perfect. We liked to come back from a day at the beach and relax in the pool and watch the sunset-- fabulous view from the pool!

We rented a car and explored many of the beaches and that's what I'd recommend. Our favorites were Half Moon Bay, FFreyes and Darkwoods.
There are many decent places to eat in English Harbour. We liked Paparazzi Pizza, Flatties, Catherine's Cafe, Cloggy's, BOOM (for lunch) and Pillars at the Admiral Inn. Jacqui O's at Love Beach is pricey, but a delicious meal and fun place to spend the day on their beach beds.

Gardener/caretaker and maid were most kind and patient

Suggestions for car rental, grocery stores, restaurants, site seeing etc were all excellent and very helpful

We have visited over 15 Carribean islands and Alagana House in Antigua is definitely one of our favorites!

The Alagana house was better than we could have imagined. Spectacular views of the Harbour; beds were very comfortable (we traveled with 8); wonderful breezes and a great infinity pool. The property management staff visited every day to check on us and take care of all our needs and questions (shout out to our new friend Rambo!).

If you plan on a trip to Antigua, the Alagana house is a great choice. It's a steep climb to reach the property, but that's a small price for the views!
