We were in a party of 5 and really enjoyed ourselves at Lou's villa. We had just spent a week sailing and were probably looking for a little more relaxation than others might. The villa is on a sizeable plot and the layout presents a good opportunity for both privacy and to come together with your travelling companions as required. We like the location to the south of the island because the ocean views and ambience are easy on the soul, but there's plenty to do within a short drive. Lou is knowledgeable regarding the best things to try and do in the region and was readily available to discuss options as required. Probably the key measure of whether a vacation rental has got the balance right, is do people want to go home again at the end of it. In this case the answer was a resounding no! High praise indeed.
This place has 3 things going for it: the Carib House itself is gracious, clean, well-appointed, and incredibly located in beauty; Lou is the hostess you dream about--full of help, information geared to you, responsive, fun; Antigua at its most beautiful and least crowded. Our extended family ages 22 through 75, many varied interests, were all convinced its the best vacation we've ever had, individually or together.
“Amazing House in great location”
Enough room for 3 generations. Fantastic pool for swimming and sun bathing. 4 minutes walk to the beach. Pool table/ table tennis. Close to English Harbour. Very friendly owner.
Super house with a “to die-for” pool. We spent a fantastic week there and Lou couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s certainly big enough for two children, and two sets of grandparents (and more). Definitely a must visit property if you’re looking for some well earned Caribbean sun!
First time I've been back to the Carib House in some years but it retains every bit of its attraction and charm. A group of 10 of us and we could not have had a more perfect week - we spent a lot of time at the brilliantly located Carib House but equally made a lot of excursions and ate out a lot. Jonny and Lou looked after every single detail and made sure everything was perfect and that we could just completely relax.
We spent a lot of time with Jonny and Lou as they are such great company but equally they are happy to leave you to enjoy the house and discreetly provide anything you might need.
I couldn't recommend the Carib House more highly - a beautiful house in a perfect setting.
“Beautiful villa, wonderful hosts”
We had a great stay at the Carib this January. The pool is fantastic, the view beautiful and the facilities in the villa great.
We enjoyed having our food cooked for us on our first night as a treat, but otherwise cooked ourselves in the kitchen, dining outside.
Our hosts Jonny and Lou were also very accommodating, with lots of insider tips on beaches to visit, restaurants to eat at. They also recommended a brilliant dune-buggy experience.
Professionally run by fantastic hosts, with a beautiful home, excellent location and incredible views. Holiday of a lifetime!
The Carib House is the perfect holiday villa - so much space inside and out complemented with beautiful panoramic views of palm trees and turquoise sea. It has all of the amenities, games and entertainment you could possibly want, all ages covered. The whole stay was made effortless thanks to the excellent hosts, Lou and Johnny. They are always on hand to help with recommendations of deserted beaches, perfect restaurants, suggest and book activities, arrange for a cook... the whole kit and caboodle.
We can't wait to go back!
Stayed here for a week with extended family. We’ve been to Antigua before but this was our first time staying in a villa. We love the island and this house is the perfect location to enjoy English Harbour area – we think is the best part of the island. Lou is a fantastic host – friendly, relaxed and extremely helpful in locating everything from a boat tour, to restaurants to fresh fish for dinner. The house has a lovely open plan design with super views of the sea from the pool area. Great kitchen and dining facilities also.
