Villa Barracuda B8 Antigua. Do you dream of a waterfront hideaway that has been designed with the utmost style and which is replete with premium amenities? If so, Villa Barracuda B8 in Antigua is for you. This three-story, four-bedroom gem is part of the truly stunning Tamarind Hills property. Located just 15 minutes from the island's capital city of St. John's it really is a wonderful little tropical paradise of its own. Every level offers outdoor living spaces, and the property itself sits right along the sands.

However, you may find it difficult to step away from your villa. The lower level is a cabana styled entertainment space that opens to the beach and which might also serve as another bedroom. The main level features a generously sized infinity edge pool with separate dining pavilion, and outdoor lounge. Inside, the great room features island inspired décor and an open floor plan with dining, lounging and gourmet kitchen spaces. There are four spacious bedrooms, with the master suite offering an enormous terrace gazing out to sea. Three suites are king and the fourth is a double twin. All are al fresco and provide garden or sea views.

Close to the delights of English Harbour and with Jolly Harbour Marina nearby, the Villa Barracuda B8 is a wonderful spot to visit with family or friends and enjoy the best that Antigua has to offer.

The newly completed Tamarind Hills Beach Club, situated on the very edge of Ffryes Beach, offers a great choice of dining and beverage options.
The Clubhouse Poke bar is open throughout the day, offering fresh locally sourced Poke ingredients for a light and refreshing lunch. The Clubhouse remains the perfect location to watch the sunset over the Caribbean Sea. The Clubhouse is for the exclusive use of the guests and homeowners of Tamarind Hills.
The Wild Tamarind is a full-service restaurant that embraces native influences of the Mediterranean region; from Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Turkish (Ottoman) and Greek, without forgetting the many fresh ingredients from the land and sea of the Caribbean. The experience is complete with live musicians weekly, plus special events programmed each month. 
Other facilities and services:
* Gym - fully equipped comprising two treadmills, elliptical and functional trainers, recumbent bike, knee and dip stand. Plus, a selection of dumb bells.

This place is a palace. The location to Darkwood beach and Ffryes beach is great. I recommend going Dennis's for food or drinks. But the house is just outstanding. The outdoor showers are fun. The infinity pool is stupid cool and the the furnishings is good for making your own meals. We couldn't think of a draw back. Hugh who met us upon arrival was always helpful with showing us the house, taking pictures and answering questions. The management was awesome to work with on booking and getting a couples massage set up for us, a bottle of wine in the fridge for us after a long flight and everything else we needed. I can't speak highly enough of the house or the management. Stay here, you cannot go wrong!

This place was amazing. Better than advertised.

Went on a trip with 5 other friends for our first time in Antigua and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were beautiful and suitable for 6 adults.

The view is amazing and having access to our own beach just a few steps away was great for morning swims and runs.

There was construction but we were not bothered. There was a slight smell from some salt thing but we lit candles and got used to it.

Wi-fi was good. Air condition was nice. Cable was clutch as we watched game 7 of the NBA finals in the Villa.

You are close to many points of access to the beach. You can even find your own secret beach if you want.

Gillian the property manager was very helpful and accessible for whatever we needed which wasn't much. Noreen our concierge was so helpful as well and booked every activity we wanted.

The people on the island are soooo friendly and helpful. Don't expect fast food service. They like to take their time preparing food but it is well worth the wait. Just ensure you have good drinks and better company.

Things I would suggest:
-Rent a car. It make life so much easier. Get used to driving on the left side.
-Hire a private chef on the last night. Great way to bring everybody together and share the memories from the trip with having to go out.
-Buy candles. NOt only for the smell but for the mosquitoes.
-Buy groceries closer to the airport or the town if you can. Prices by the villa are high.
-Take a catamaran tour!

Overall great experience. if you have any doubts Noreen can help smooth them away.

The villa is spread over 3 floors. The top floor has 2 king bedrooms with massive walking closets and one twin bedroom. We were two families with 4 adults and 3 children aged 4-10. One child slept with the parents in the king bed and the other kids slept in the twin bedroom. Sleeping worked out really well - and every morning started with a relaxing swing on the hammock the was placed on the very large balcony outside the two king bedrooms -stunning views to wake up to.

Their was another bedroom with a king bed that was part of the games room. That room was however two floors below the other bedrooms and only accessible by going outside. I don't think that bedroom is suitable for children but could work well for a couple that wanted their own space slightly removed from the rest of the party.

The main floor was very open plan, chic and modern looking. Decent modern kitchen that at first glance did seem to be a little light on plates and cooking utensils but in the end, provided we started the dishwasher each night, we had pretty much whatever we needed and took fully advantage of the kitchen.

We had a small problem with the ice maker in the fridge and with getting the bbq started the first night - but any minor problem was addressed very quickly and efficiently by the villa staff. They always seemed to arrive quickly, followed up to make sure things were still OK and always came with a smile.

The open plan main floor opens out onto the covered, outdoor seating area and infinity pool. The setting and views are spectacular. We stayed two
weeks and we were as taken with them on the last day as the first. We ate at the outdoor table most nights and found it a perfect setting. (The outdoor table fits 6-7 while the indoor one could fit 10).

The infinity pool is stunning and a great place to relax and take in the view.

There are two beaches close by to the villa.

Darkwood beach is visible from the Villa and is the easiest to get to with kids. It does require a 5 minute walk to get to either on a road without a pavement or on a rough grass walkway - alternatively, for adults or older children, it is possible to enter the sea just below the villa and walk through the water to the beach - the water goes just above waist height. Getting to the beach is a small hassle but the beach is beautiful, the water stunning, and getting to it is only a minor inconvenience.

The other beach near the villa is called Frye's beach. Darkwood is beautiful but Frye's is a dream beach. It is however more difficult to get too on foot. There are three choices: 1) Walk around the road for about 15 mins (for adults). We found it too far that way for young kids. 2) Walk up the hill through the area of Tamarind Hills that is under development and then down the other side of the hill. This took about 5 mins and was by far the fastest and easiest. (When the whole complex is finished accessing Frye's beach will be a breeze). 3) enter the water below the villa and walk around the point via the water (in the same way we got to Darkwood beach but just going the opposite direction).

We did 2 and 3 a couple of times each and always thought that it was worth the effort.

We didn't eat on Darkwood but did eat at Dennis' restaurant on Frye's. Great food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Supermarket and restaurants all really need a car to get too. That said, we didn't rent a car and instead used "taxis". Taxis are more like private drivers and usually take you where you want to go and wait (often for hours) until you are ready to go back home. If you want to do lots of touring you may want to rent a car, but if it's just to restaurants, supermarkets and the odd day trip then you probably aren't going to pay much more to take taxis than to rent a car.

El lugar en donde esta ubicado el departamento es paradisiaco, entre 2 de las mejores playas de Antigua, Darkwood a 100 mts y Ffryes beaches a 300 mts.
Si les parece que las fotos del departamento no dicen la verdad, tienen razon. El departamento es mejor que las fotos!!! El borde infinito de la piscina se proyecta sobre el mar 10 metros debajo y deja una placentera sensación pasar la tarde en la galeria. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y decoradas con el mejor gusto.

If you are going to book a stay on the beautiful and endearing island of Antigua, this is THE place to stay. It is meticulously appointed as a fine home with great attention to detail. Whether it's the modern fixtures, the infinite pool, the spacious rooms, the option for an indoor/outdoor shower, or the location itself perched over the beach, it's a fabulous place to call home during your stay. We will be going back. I highly recommend Tamarind Hills!

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. Isle Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Isle Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Isle Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.

A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.

A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.
