Villa Nelson Gay, Barbados is an opulent Palladian mansion made of coral stone and featuring eight luxurious bedrooms and seven baths. With a capacity of eighteen guests, this is the ideal location for large gatherings – perhaps a corporate getaway or a destination wedding?
Situated on nearly two acres, this beachfront estate faces directly onto a half-mile expanse of beach, roped off for safety and perfect for water sports. A coral reef offers excellent snorkeling.
Your first experience of the house will be the refined entrance hall, featuring a marble floor, tropical plants, breezy latticework and visually stunning sculptures. The hall leads into the living room, with a view of the pool, gardens, and the sea beyond. The house is built on a single level, with a central living area located between two wings. The rooms are large, airy and elegant, and the white color scheme with green accents evokes the tropics.
In the south wing, you will find the gourmet kitchen and opulent formal dining area. The north wing contains the bedrooms, including the Mural Room which opens onto the pool and the gardens. All are well-appointed, and two are located in cottages on the grounds. You and your guests can choose from rooms with king, queen, or two twin beds.
The lounge area is shaded and equipped with ceiling fans. It opens onto the gardens and the pool. The 50-foot pool features Italian tiling with inlaid mosaics and is the perfect setting for relaxing with cocktails in the evening. From the pool, you can progress to the garden, and finally to the beach by means of a private gate.
For your convenience, Villa Nelson Gay is fully staffed by a butler, a housekeeper, a gardener, and a chef during the summer. In winter, two chefs are on staff.

Arrival Information: Guests staying at this property should choose the Barbados North Coast Transfer service area for airport transfers. We highly recommend the Barbados Fast Track service to expedite your arrival and avoid long waits at customs.

While available for advanced requests, the concierge team connects with guests 30 days prior to arrival to coordinate arrivals and to reserve desired services and experiences. Guests with scheduled Christmas/New Year stays will be contacted 90 days prior to arrival.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Rental rates:
The villa requires five nights minimum rental of the villa at the regular rental rates. The event fee is one (1) night's rental at the applicable rate of the date, plus 19% taxes.
Refundable security deposit: USD $1,500.00 standard deposit + USD $3,000.00 additional security deposit for events.

Clients are also required to hire outside caterers as well as rent chairs, tables, tents, glasses, cutlery, and crockery.
Terms and conditions:
The villa does not allow unregistered guests to stay overnight. Overnight guests are restricted to the 2 guests per rented bedroom and must be declared. Guests are responsible for the set-up and clean up of the event. The event may not occur within 24 hours of departure. For example, with a Saturday departure guests must hold the event on Thursday or sooner. Guests must abide to local ordinances.
