The Beach Villa on Moskito Island - This cluster of houses was inspired by Richard’s daughter Holly and has an enviable sheltered position just above a sandy beach with views out to sea and up to Headland House. The elevated rooms are set back from the water and connected by a raised wooden walkway that also leads across to neighboring Mangrove Villa.
The main house features a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge, separate temperature-controlled wine fridge and an additional mini-bar to keep all your favorite drinks and snacks cool. Lunch or dinner can be served at the dining table which comfortably seats eight and can be set up for al fresco meals on the deck just in front of the infinity pool. Back inside the house there is also a spacious lounge area for relaxing in the shade or for watching TV if there’s a game you just can’t miss! The house is fully air conditioned and is wired for sound so you can plug in your device and stream your own music. You can also use the control panel to control the lights and set the mood, and activate the hot tub that sits within the outdoor heated infinity pool.
Children are more than welcome on Moskito Island and we can make special arrangements for your kids including tailored meals and activities. There are plenty of inflatables at the pools and the island is a fun environment for children to play. Some of our rooms can be arranged with twin beds, and our very young guests can be accommodated with their parents in the nurseries located just off the Master Suites in both Mangrove and Beach villas on the upper level. Babysitting is available on request for an extra charge so please give us as much notice as possible.
The shared Recreation Area on the island’s eastern side is where guests can take advantage of a diverse range of activities and dining opportunities based around the Beach House, infinity pool and bar, tennis pavilion, dining pavilions and water sports centre. With steady trade winds, warm turquoise waters, beautiful trails and two tennis courts, Moskito Island is the perfect playground for dozens of activities on land or on the water of course. A member of the Moskito Island team will chat to our guests each morning and again at lunchtime to arrange or facilitate any of the activities you’d like to try. Most of our activities are included in the exclusive use rate unless otherwise indicated. As a general rule if the activity involves leaving the island or if a boat with a motor is required then a charge will apply.
Fine food is the highlight of any guest's stay on Moskito, and the options are endless. We can create bespoke menus around your individual tastes, or if you’re lacking inspiration we’ll let our chefs do the work. Dining can be formal or informal, indoor or outdoor, themed or traditional, beachside or poolside, or even under the stars. All meals and events can be arranged by our team on island. The Beach House kitchen is directly adjacent to a terrace and outdoor dining area with a grill and dedicated pizza oven and seating for 25.
