Villa Les Jolies Eaux, Mustique. The history of the private island of Mustique begins with the gift of property to HRH Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. This was one of the first properties to be built on the island, and it cemented its reputation as an exclusive retreat of rare beauty and luxury. That property was the Villa Les Jolies Eaux, and it is now available for travelers in search of the ideal place for a truly private, luxurious and beautiful holiday.
A five-bedroom villa, it was designed by the world-famous architect Oliver Messel. Appearing in exclusive publications, the villa sits at the southern end of the island, offering amazing views and capturing the delicious sea breezes in its many stunning rooms.
The property is sprawling and surrounded by mature gardens and grounds. Facing towards the view is the large pool and surrounding deck. This features a dining pavilion and porch to one side, and a separate structure houses one of the bedrooms. This features a private porch and plunge pool of its own, along with an enormous en-suite bath.
Walking along the portico to the south porch leads a guest to the living room and dining room area. This features access to the east porch as well as the kitchen bar. With a full household staff, guests can enjoy meals and drinks wherever they like, and the nearby media room is a popular spot for late night movies. The covered gardens and entry courtyard are near the media room, and the remaining bedrooms are here as well.
Each bedroom is a luxurious suite with a porch or deck, a large en-suite bath and gorgeous design and décor. The fifth bedroom is in a studio structure at the rear of the garden.
Clearly, the Villa Les Jolies Eaux is a gem and a perfect choice for a retreat into luxury, privacy and the beauty that is Mustique.
