VI Friendship

Built in 2008, the VI Friendship Villa serves as the second home to longtime visitors to the United States Virgin Islands who finally decided on creating their own little "slice of heaven" in paradise. Designed from a unique and nautical perspective, VI Friendship Villa offers a layout that provides both privacy and opportunities to gather together, from its well-placed elegant (and equally-sized) bedrooms, to a generous sandy bulkhead "beach" for sunning, playing... or, contemplating under the stars.

Each air-conditioned bedroom has its own private balcony with a lovely waterfront view of pleasure boats at Great Cruz Bay intimate harbor, the pool and hot tub, and to the sea, with the Westin Resort's white sand beach in the near distance.

A complete gymnasium occupies the uppermost portion of VI Friendship Villa. Encased in glass on 3 sides, this room is fully air-conditioned, with stunning views of the surrounding area. Between sets, step out onto the magnificent patio to fill your lungs with fresh air, absorb the sun's rays, and enjoy the ocean breezes.

From here, stairs lead downwards to a split level Great Room on the Main Level. Separating east and west wings is a well equipped kitchen with top appliances, granite counters and a roomy pantry. Adjacent to the kitchen are a powder room, and an office nook complete with DSL line, computer, multifunction printer, and, of course, a view to Great Cruz Bay. Wi-Fi signal is available to those with laptops and devices as well.

Each wing hosts 2 bedrooms which are equal in size, for a total of 4 bedrooms here. Convenient amenities in each include 32" flat-screen satellite TVs, coffeemakers, and verandahs with ocean views. In the east wing are the blue, and blue-and-white suites; the west wing's suites are sage and white-and-gold.

Four steps down from the kitchen is the dining space with a sturdy trestle dining table suitable for 10, plus a granite counter and 4 stools for quick meals and chats over cocktails. The living room sitting area (with 46” television) adjoins across a tiled expanse, and contains a DVD player and Surround Sound system to carry musical enjoyment throughout the Great Room and pool deck areas.

Stainless steel yacht riggings create functional balustrades in both interior and exterior; well-placed balconies and windows offer the continuous tableau of sky and ocean. Utterly modern and built to welcome the Caribbean sunshine, VI Friendship Villa provides rows of windows that let in abundant light, accenting the spaces within. Modern furnishings, travertine flooring, and sweeping open rafter ceilings, all uncrowded, comfortable, and most accommodating. Delightful extras include satellite TV, and an air-conditioned game room on the lower level, with ping-pong, billiards and game tables.

Through sliding French doors, you will access the sandy bulkhead beach outfitted with chaises and a fire brazier for cheerful evening get-togethers where you'll recount the day's adventures or share stories in the moonlight. The centerpiece of this customized hardscape is the infinity-edged pool with its integrated hot tub - an outdoor wet bar, gas grill with rotisserie and 6-foot dining table with umbrella covering are close by for al fresco meals, and a commercial blender and commercial ice maker will ensure that cool refreshment is always but moments away! Continue down a quick flight of stairs for the bulkhead sand “beach” surrounded by towering palms.

You’ll find two more queen bedrooms in a lower level (by way of an interior staircase). These air-conditioned suites are separated to afford good privacy, and each has its own coffeemaker, TV and balcony. The laundry room and game room are also on this level - included is a convenient half-bath.

The rental rates include : Welcome upon arrival and villa orientation, housekeeping service 2 days per week, pool technician weekly, gardener regularly, villa manager on call and utilities (water, electricity, BBQ gas / charcoal , WiFi internet coverage). Provisions and staff gratuities are not included.

Getting to the Villa : A local representative will meet the guests at their car rental agency located at the ferry port and escort them to the villa
