Tamarind Villa on St. Lucia is a spacious house which has been recently renovated to a very high standard with much of the exterior in an attractive coral stone finish. The villa is situated on Windward Hills and enjoys views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean Seas. The house is cooled by a constant breeze from the Atlantic Ocean.

The villa is situated in an acre of landscaped garden that is fenced with access through a remote controlled gate. The villa is a short drive from an 18 hole Championship Golf course and Cotton Bay and Le Sport beaches. The numerous shops and restaurants situated in Rodney Bay are about a 10 minute drive away. The villa has two stories.

The first floor has 4 air conditioned double bedrooms. Two of these have king size beds and open onto a high level patio, where guests can enjoy wonderful views. Each of these bedrooms has an en suite shower room. The other two bedrooms have two single beds each, which can be converted into a king bed. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a shower.

Downstairs there are 3 more bedrooms, which now have recently instaled air-condiioning units. The Atlantic and Caribbean bedrooms have a king size bed and en suite shower, and the middle bedroom has two single beds and an en suite shower. Ample space is provided for relaxation and entertainment with a large sitting / dining room with a TV which is connected to cable vision and a DVD and a stereo.

There is a long dining table which can seat 12 persons and another round table which can seat 8 persons. A wooden patio runs the entire length of the house furnished with tables and chairs for alfresco dining and sofas and loungers for relaxing. The patio is adjacent to the pool deck, swimming pool and a large wooden deck for sun worshipers. There is also an attractive gazebo with built in seating.

At the back of the house is the kitchen, equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc., a laundry room (with a washing machine and a dryer) and a small drinks fridge, a small child's bedroom cooled with a ceiling fan and another shower room (available at a small additional nightly fee) The house is equipped with a baby's crib and high chair.

Great villa with absolutely charming staff

Beautiful villa with great staff! We had an amazing time!

Kiara Aug, 2022

Tamarind Villa was a very nice home, the views are spectacular, the outdoor area is beautiful, the pool is nice and spacious and very well maintained, the gazebo is very nice to take in the sunsets and hang out, and all outdoor furniture is comfortable and very clean, the deck with the sun chairs is large and the view from that corner is absolutely spectacular! Having breakfast on that terrace on the large round table was so nice. The house outside is 100% what we expected and more. The inside is a bit different. The upstairs bedrooms were great because they had new air conditioning units. These rooms got very nicely cooled because the doors had glass and it almost sealed the room, so the air conditioning was excellent, and we never saw any bugs because we kept the doors closed. There are four bedrooms upstairs, one has a queen, one has a king (both rooms go out to a beautiful porch with the most amazing views) then two more rooms with two single beds in each one. The king bed was a bit hard to sleep on. The queen was great and all the kids loved the single beds. The downstairs rooms are the ones that need a lot of improvements. They all have air conditioning but they are older and set to a certain temperature and it was impossible to cool down the hot rooms because the doors and all the shutters enclosing the rooms have slots or openings as the entire downstairs has therefore you are unable to seal the rooms. Bugs and mosquitos are a real nuisance and the rooms are very hot even when turning the air conditioners. Thank goodness all the downstairs bedrooms have mosquito nets which helped with the mosquito situation. My sister and brother-in-law got bitten by a centipede in their bed and my mother and father had mosquitoes and roaches inside their bedroom on several nights, they even brought home one inside their suitcase. The bathrooms are also “open concept” having lattice at the top of the wooden shutters therefore allowing moths and even birds to fly in. The roaches (being from the Caribbean) are actually very pretty (not that this pertains to the house) but we didn’t mind them as much as city roaches i guess; nonetheless we prefer not to have any bugs at all. The common areas downstairs/inside the home are a living room with a television (which reminds me - there was only one TV in the whole house, I asked the concierge if we could have another one and they brought one by on the third day of our visit to put in one of the kids room) the living room shares the dining area and goes out to the terrace, the décor is nice and open. The kitchen was a bit small, but it had everything we needed. The refrigerator could use a little TLC. It freezes and the water from the melting ice rains down on the many different dishes of food. Thank goodness they were covered. There is no air conditioning in any of these areas and even though there are fans it was still a bit hot. Melinda and Lidia, the ladies that cook and clean were absolutely AMAZING! Melinda was so so so nice she cooked delicious foods every day and even made us traditional Saint Lucia’s meals. She cooked pancakes every morning (kids special requests) and eggs and anything we would ask her for. She would cook the lunch and leave there for when we returned from our outings and excursions. Apart from her cooking it was so pleasant to have her there, she has great customer service skills and is an absolute gem to have around. Lidia cleaned the rooms so nicely every day, she was detailed, and the rooms were truly very clean once she would be done with them. We also went on a catamaran that was suggested from the concierge; I wish we would have booked a solo catamaran as we didn’t really want to go on a party boat and that is what is was; the shared catamarans are full of people from the near-by resorts and there is barely any space to sit, its very uncomfortable. Its not recommended with kids or elder people this is something I truly wish I could go back and change… that experience could have been way better. Car/driving – we rented cars and I think it would have been better to have a driver and a large sprinter. Driving in Saint Lucia is crazy! Lol! Lesson learned. Specially when coming from the US or any country in which you drive on the right side of the road … it was an adventure for sure. In all – we had a great time, I wanted to write a review for anyone looking in to staying at Tamarind Villa or going to Saint Lucia as I had totally different expectations. Nonetheless we had a great time ! Thank you Tamarind Villa!

Beautiful location, beautiful home perfect for our needs

Stunning villa in top location with far reaching views over both the Atlantic Ocean & Caribbean Sea.
Nothing was too much trouble for Merlinda & Lydia, who prepared breakfast (&supper when we asked) and kept the villa lovely & clean. Francis was always on hand if we needed anything else but kept himself to himself when we didn't.
Even though we were a family of 2 grannies, 2 parents & 2 kids, I can imagine this place would be amazing for a larger party as there are so many chill out areas in which to sit, so you can really spread out. Each bedroom has an ensure. It's huge; I counted 70 steps from one end of the terrace to the other!
Only downside is that you can't really walk from the villa, but with a car you are perfectly placed with at least 4 beaches within a 10 min drive and lots more not much further than that.
Having just arrived home, I am already missing the pool, the hummingbirds & huge, brightly coloured caterpillars & the tame little birds around the house, enjoying watching the sun setting over Rodney Bay from the upstairs veranda outside my bedroom.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.
Are we protected from fraud? click to open
Yes. Isle Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Isle Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.
Can we arrange an early check in? click to open
Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.
Are transfers to the property included? click to open
Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.
What is the cancellation policy? click to open
Since these vacation homes are one of a kind properties, the cancellation policy is strict. We highly recommend considering trip/travel insurance to protect against any unexpected cancellations or issues that may arise.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Isle Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.
Do you accept credit cards (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa)? click to open
Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.
In the near future, we expect to accept a greater variety of payment methods and currencies via Stripe.
Is housekeeping included? click to open
Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Please refer to the Staff section to learn about the housekeeping frequency of the property.
