When first entering the main living space, the ocean is visible along the entire far wall from the kitchen-to-poolside-terrace glass doors on the far left to the television and entertainment center on the far right. The entertainment center is six niches in a white wall—three on either side of a wall-mounted flat-screen television—lit from the inside to display classic vinyl records.

The couch is a large sectional with two lounge ottomans on either side. Plush gray pillows and soft lighting give the space a sleepy feel until one notices the huge blue wave painted on the wall directly opposite the ocean. Suddenly one is alert, reminded of the elements and the presence of vacation once again.

Murals like this persist in the four queen bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms that allow Villa Alma to sleep eight guests per night. In one room, jungle-green bed linens reflect a mural of tropical plants overlarge on a white wall so one feels securely tucked away in the tropical outdoors. Another room features a mural with blue parrots, while yet another displays an island sunset reminiscent of the views guests will get here. Each bedroom has a shower, vanity, water closet, wi-fi, air-conditioning, safe, and ceiling fan to ensure maximum privacy and comfort. The master suite has a double vanity as well as ocean views.

Two dining areas—one indoor, one alfresco—are accompanied by veranda loungers beside an infinity pool that spills practically into the ocean. The stairs to the beach and ocean are directly off the pool’s far wall. Not ten steps take guests from brunch to a walk on the beach.
