Just 10 minutes from the historic city of Lucca, Villa Orfea is a superb luxury retreat housed in a beautifully restored 15th-century property, where historic character meets refined contemporary comfort. Lucca’s famous Renaissance walls are ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling, while the beaches of Versilia are just a 30-minute drive away. The area also hosts a variety of music festivals throughout the year.
The villa’s elegant interiors retain many original Tuscan features, including frescoed walls, a grand fireplace, a crystal chandelier, a coffered ceiling, and classic artwork. The generous formal dining room accommodates up to 50 guests, while the professional kitchen opens directly onto the garden. A comfortable lounge with satellite TV, a well-stocked library, a traditional sitting room with a working fireplace, and a guest bathroom complete the main living spaces.
On the lower level, a private 2,100 sq ft wellness area features a Turkish bath, sauna, emotional shower, salt room, and meditation room. A stone cellar with a fireplace and wine-tasting room provides an atmospheric setting for relaxed evenings.
Outside, extensive manicured grounds include a romantic Italian-style garden with pergola, a shaded al fresco dining area, and a private swimming pool with a whirlpool area. A furnished sun deck, children's playground, and covered private parking complete the outdoor facilities. The gated and fully fenced estate, shallow pool area, and dedicated play area make Villa Orfea particularly well suited to families travelling with children.
