When planning your next visit to Barbados, it is likely you will consider the popular west coast with its famous and beautiful beaches and its appealing destinations like Holetown, among others. If you wish to be close to it all, but also in a quiet and upscale retreat, the Villa Mullins Bay 13 - Coco is an ideal choice. It is steps from Mullins Beach and provides visitors with some truly rare amenities. Everyone in your party is going to enjoy free access to the Royal Westmoreland beach club and restaurant throughout their stay as well as the use of the Sugar Hill property with its pool, tennis, golf and much more.

As if that were not enough, your villa has a full staff, including a private cook if desired. In fact, the villa itself is so beautiful and comfortable, you may find yourself yearning to just sit in the sun on the terrace, lounge in the shade of the verandah or retreat to your air and charming bedroom suite to take in the scenery from the comfort of your oversized bed.

The property features three stories with a courtyard at the lower level. This contains charming gardens and a lovely sun deck. There is al fresco dining and a fully furnished lounge. This level also features the large living room and entertainment space and the surprisingly luxurious kitchen with its premium appliances and gorgeous design.

The four bedrooms are split up between the two uppermost levels, and they too come with balconies or terraces. The master suite has an oversized terrace, king bed and sitting area, while the other suites are also king beds with smaller terraces and amazing views.

For new bookings the property manager is modifying the payment policy as follows :

~ If guests cancel the reservation, all payments made will be forfeited and kept as a voucher credit for travel to the same villa for up 12 months from the original arrival date. No refund will be offered.

The Covid-19 Modified Cancellation Policy is applicable in the event that :

1. The Barbados government refuses passengers’ entry based on their origin (whether by residence, recent travel to a particular destination, or based on flight origin).
2. A Foreign government issues a specific travel ban to or from Barbados that prevents a guest from traveling.
3. A Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) Advisory against Barbados must exist.

Common Questions
Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Yes. Isle Blue stands behind you throughout your entire vacation. Unlike other companies, each property we offer has been hand picked to ensure that our standards are met. All property managers are vetted and payments are required to be held in escrow. Our primary obligation is to ensure your satisfaction and to have an exceptionally memorable vacation.
Can you explain the reservation process? click to open
Once a reservation request is received, Isle Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.

Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.
Can we arrange a late check out? click to open
A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.

Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.

In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Isle Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. Yes. The property will provide bath and pool towels along with linens. Towels and linens will be refreshed as needed.

A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.

A hair dryer should be available at the property. Upon arrival, please check the bathrooms or closet. Typically, a hair dryer is included in each bathroom.

Meena & Janice were great. Perfect location opp Mullins beach. Communal pool right outside back gate. Easy for teenagers to walk over to the beach on their own. Great local bus service stops right outside complex. Comes every 5 mins. Also parking directly in front of villa. Clean bright 4 bed villa. Good value with cook & housekeeper who are a credit. We’d highly recommend.

My husband and our 5 adult children stayed at Coco for a week. It exceeded my expectations. The villa is clean and pretty and was perfect for our family. The two 20 year old boys stayed in the ground floor room, which is not as nice as the other 3 rooms, as it doesn't have a terrace, but they didn't mind. The master bedroom is on the third floor with a big beautiful bathroom and terrace. The other two bedrooms on the second floor with terraces. All with bathrooms.
The rental includes a housekeeper, Jenice, who is lovely and helpful and made life easy for us in general. She did our laundry and cleaned daily. The cook, Mina, was fabulous. Our best meals were at the villa. We usually had her cook breakfast and either lunch or dinner. Her chicken curry and flying fish were a hit with everyone.
Mullins Bay Resort is really just a walled in community with a gym and beach access. Not a typical "resort", although they do provide access to two nearby resorts, neither of which we visited. We shared a big pool with the 4 other villas in our cluster, but rarely saw anyone else there. Chairs and towels provided on the beach. The beach, which is public, has a great restaurant and any activities you might want (jet skis, paddle boards, glass bottom boat, etc.). I would highly recommend the villa and the area to anyone visiting Barbados, provided that you like the quieter part of the island (which we do). You can take the public bus (which is an adventure in and of itself) or a taxi anywhere you want to go. And if brave, rent a car and drive. Be sure to visit Huntes Gardens and the Wildlife Preserve (money feeding at 2 pm).

We had an amazing time. Coco was the perfect fit for our family. Mina is a great cook. Our favorite meals of the trip were ones that she cooked. Jenice took all the pressure of living with 7 messy people off of me.

I am really glad that we didn't get the house I originally inquired about. The villa was beautiful and perfectly equipped for our family. Being in the resort was great. The kids used the gym every day (not me!). And the closeness of the beach made it easy for the different groups in our family to go and meet up on different schedules.

Coco was perfect for us looking for good value option close to Mullins Beach. We only used 3 of the 4 bedrooms but all were a good size and we really enjoyed the outside terrace. Having the huge communal pool right on our doorstep was also a massive bonus. We have been to Barbados a number of times and love Mullins Beach so it was great to be only a few minutes walk away and also have use of the sun loungers where we spent most of our days!! Cook was great too!

I would definitely recommend Coco as a great rental option.

Great staff, easy to contact and timely correspondence.

This was our second stay at Happy Bay Villa, but our first since the post-Irma update it has undergone. The interior and accents are very nice and the expansion to the kitchen was very well done. All bedrooms are well appointed and extremely comfortable with both new beds and new AC units. You can’t beat the location on Mont Choicy, as it is close to multiple dining options, a harbor to charter boats, and beaches to suit either those that want a crowd and action, to those that want seclusion. To make this perfect vacation villa really shine, was the service we received from Lydia, our house keeper and our amazing Villa Concierge, Axel. Always quick to respond to any questions we had, Axel was just a phone call or text away. I must say, his suggestion to bring a nurse to our villa to administer the PCR test for our entire party was genius. It sure beat standing in a hot line at the airport, wondering if we were going to miss our flights back home. We love St Martin and all that it has to offer…and when you have such friendly, professional, and genuine staff running your operation, it is an unbeatable combination for success. Bravo, Isle Blue!

Restaurant Recommendations: Bistrot Caribes was awesome. Others like Ocean 82, Rainbow Cafe were also great.
