Endless Summer Escape
A historic property in the St. James area of Barbados, Villa Mango Bay was created by Oliver Messel and has retained his masterful use of the setting and Caribbean design to create the perfect retreat. Located adjacent to its own private stretch of beachfront, it uses an expansive and open floor plan to provide a wonderful blend of private and shared living spaces for up to 13 visitors at once.
Guests will marvel at the beauty of the premises, especially the private swimming pool area. Framed by a terrace and bordered by the gardens, it captures the essence of the tropics. Naturally, you may prefer the oceanfront, and this property boasts a private terrace right on the sands. Take steps down to the beach or bask in the sun on one of the many comfortable lounges. And if you prefer some time indoors, you will feel like a royal in the high ceilinged spaces of the indoor lounge, formal dining room, and gourmet kitchen.
The property boasts a courtyard, dining pavilion, private gardens, a breathtaking lily pond, and a cottage. Just like a private estate of your own, it is staffed with a butler and assistant, a chef, housekeeping, and a laundress waiting to provide you with courteous, friendly, and capable service.
There are 4 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom in the main villa and the charming little cottage features 2 further bedrooms. All of them have private, en suite bathrooms, and impressive views of the sea or mature gardens.
Designed to provide the utmost in luxury, Villa Mango Bay is often chosen as a perfect spot for private, intimate events, large family gatherings, and group trips by very discerning travelers. It delivers up the very best that the island has to offer and all in a historic and beautiful setting.
Swimming is not possible directly in front of house as there is a small reef but excellent swimming to the south or north of property.

Arrival Information: Guests staying at this property should choose the Barbados North Coast Transfer service area for airport transfers. We highly recommend the Barbados Fast Track service to expedite your arrival and avoid long waits at customs.
Main House:
Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with a king-size bed, A/C and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, vanity and wc. 2 guests maximum.
Bedroom 2: Bedroom with a king-size bed, A/C and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, vanity and wc. 2 guests maximum.
Bedrooms 3 & 4: Bedrooms with two single beds, A/C and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, vanity and wc. 2 guests maximum.
Bedroom 5: Bedroom with a single bed, A/C and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, vanity and wc. 1 guest maximum.
Cottage:
Bedrooms 6 & 7: Bedrooms with a king-size bed, A/C and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, vanity and wc. 2 guests maximum.

While available for advanced requests, the concierge team connects with guests 30 days prior to arrival to coordinate arrivals and to reserve desired services and experiences. Guests with scheduled Christmas/New Year stays will be contacted 90 days prior to arrival.
Plan your dream destination wedding or special event. The Villa Mango Bay is available for wedding receptions and special events.
Minimum stay is between 5 and 7 nights.
The Event Fee will be US$10,000
Refundable Security Deposit of US$10,000
Other requirements:
• The function must not exceed the agreed amount of people
• The majority of houses are not big enough for excess car parking – You may want to suggest that taxis bring the guests to the house.
• One or two members of staff must be present for the function to represent the owner’s interest. The clients will be charged for the overtime incurred as a result of this.
• Further discussions to be had on how the staff can be used during the function.
• The staff will not under any circumstances be catering for the function.
• A catering company will have to be hired by the client and they must provide their own serving staff, bake ware, cutlery and crockery etc.
• The clients will provide all cutlery/crockery, tables, chairs etc. needed for the night.
• The client will be responsible for the clean up after the party and making right any damages.
• Please remember that houses are in residential areas and noise is a factor. As a result the will need to contact the police station for a license.
Terms and conditions:
The villa does not allow unregistered guests to stay overnight. Overnight guests are restricted to the 2 guests per rented bedroom and must be declared. Guests are responsible for the set-up and clean-up of the event. The event may not occur within 24 hours of departure. For example, with Saturday departure guests must hold the event on Thursday or sooner. Guests must abide by local ordinances.

Credit is based on total booking value before taxes and fees. Credit applies to experiences only and cannot be used toward villa rental, taxes, or fees. Credit must be used during the booked stay and expires at checkout. Cannot be combined with other offers and has no cash value. Valid only on new reservations made within the booking window. Concierge service must be booked directly through our website and does not apply to third-party providers or external websites.
