If you have planned to visit the utterly charming villa of Soufriere during your next visit to St. Lucia, why not book your entire stay just minutes from the picturesque site. In fact, if you opt to stay at the remarkable Villa Colibri Cottage, you get to be minutes from town, but in a private paradise of your own, overlooking Malgretoute Bay. Savor gorgeous sunsets, relax in your own tropical gardens and beautifully decorated grounds, and take in the welcome sight of the Pitons every day.

The six-bedroom villa is a remarkable find and offers you some of the most stunning scenery imaginable. Comprised of two separate structures, it features a traditional, colonial styled villa along with an adjacent cottage. You enjoy the services of a private cook who prepares two meals daily and housekeeping too. This leaves you with nothing more to do than savor the amazing setting.

The property features the largest private pool on the island, and it stretches out before the main villa, framing the stunning scenery. Wrapped by a stone terrace, it leads back to the main villa where an enormous, furnished verandah offers gorgeous open air living. The outdoor living room is next to the somewhat formal al fresco dining room, and enormous wooden doors slide open into the great room. Here, a classic island casual living room opens into the full-sized kitchen.

The adjacent cottage is actually self-contained and also has a small kitchen and living area, along with verandah. Two of the six bedrooms are in the main villa and offer master suite amenities such as king beds, sitting rooms and private baths. The cottage features two, two-bedroom apartments with king beds and private baths.

Ideal for a small and intimate destination event, the ultimate family holiday, or a journey with discerning world travelers, the Villa Colibri Cottage is a true "must see" in St. Lucia.

A previous owner even hosted Prince Phillip in the main house!

The housekeeper (Lavina) and resident grounds keeper (Randall) will do everything necessary to make your stay pleasant. There is daily cleaning, and bi-weekly linen changes.  Lavina will cook one meal per day (either brunch or lunch) and her hours are from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm.  Dinner service can be provided at an additional fee of US$75.00, payable to Lavina (this includes her taxi fare home).  Personal laundry is available at a fee of US$10.00 per load.  Randall is the resident caretaker and takes care of the pool and the garden maintenance.

Child Waiver required for parties with kids 12 years and under.  Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.

Do we share the villa? click to close
No. You will not share the villa with another party. The villa is exclusively yours. If a larger villa offers a lower bedroom rate category, the villa will remain exclusively yours but the unrented bedrooms will be locked off.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.

Once a reservation request is received, Isle Blue will request a contract from the property manager for your dates of interest. Once the dates are confirmed and contract is received from the property manager, a payment will be required to confirm your reservation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a concierge will welcome you to the planning stages of your vacation to assist with arrival logistics, rental cars, transfers, and a host of concierge services.

Early check in may be possible but is at the sole discretion of the property manager. Early check in permission may not be granted until 24 hours prior to arrival.

A late check out is rarely granted due to the turnover needs of a villa. A late check out may only be granted 24 hours prior to your departure from the property and only when there is no check in scheduled on the day of your check out. If a late check out is urgently needed please contact us.

Select villas may include a one way or roundtrip airport transfer while others may provide an escort or meeting point. Arrival logistics will be handled by your dedicated concierge as well as other concierge needs. The property's transfer policy will be listed under the Policies section.
What to expect upon arrival? click to open
In general, a villa orientation will be provided along with a key turnover. During the orientation, information and instructions for the property will be provided. Emergency contact information will be provided. We are available 7 days a week to assist with any urgent needs.
The arrival procedures due vary from villa to villa, select villas may include welcome provisioning while other properties will provide basic arrival information.

What happens if the property becomes unavailable after I reserve? click to open
In the unlikely event, the rented property becomes unavailable due to a major issue that may affect a guest's experience or a transfer of ownership, Isle Blue will coordinate with the property manager to find an alternate property of equal or superior standard that is subject to the guest's approval. If an alternate property is not acceptable to the guest, the guest will receive a full refund.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted. Please note that credit card charges may be subject to additional fees. There are no fees with payment by wire transfer or check.

Housekeeping tends to be a standard among vacation homes but the frequency may vary greatly depending on the property manager’s standards. Most properties will offer daily housekeeping (except Sunday and holidays) while other villas may only provide a mid-week cleaning. A property may supply an initial supply of soap, shampoo, toilet paper and paper towels but replenishment of supplies once exhausted may be the responsibility of the guest. Each property varies in their handling of toiletries and paper products.

This is one of the most astounding vistas on the globe and should be near the top of everyone’s bucket list. From every vantage point on the estate, the Petit Piton towers above you. It’s no wonder that some of the most luxurious yachts in the world anchor immediately offshore to share the view of the Piton and of this property, no doubt jealous of those at Colibri that get to daily enjoy it.

Situated above the charming port of Soufriere with a direct view of the Piton steps from a secluded beach, this is a home designed for up to 12 people living as close or as separately as one chooses. Enjoy the home with a perfect infinity pool suitable for lap swimming, conversation and reading areas for everyone. Walk into Soufriere or hike to Sugar Beach and other nearby restaurants. Drive to the rainforest for parrot watching. A wonderful place to relax.

So we all have a fantasy about the perfect vacation home. Well, Colibri Cottage is better than that. Start with the house itself. It's open on the side facing the ocean the entire length, inviting sea breezes in and making the veranda part of the house. The six full bedrooms are large, each with its own bath. The views are unbelievable with the ocean directly in front of you and the Petit Piton directly behind the pool. The pool is large and invites laps. If you prefer the ocean, there is a set of stone stairs a three minute walk away. The town of Soufriere is about ten minutes away and offers fresh fish and fruit at the local open air market and lovely batiks and woodworking. Should you want to go further, a water taxi can take you to Sapphire Beach or Anse Chastanit for more snorkeling out a lovely lunch. Maybe you want to hire a taxi to go to the mud baths at the volcano? Or just walk down the road to the local guide to climb the Petit Piton. But equally, there is every reason to just lay by the pool and read a book. Lavinia and Randal, the on site staff, will make you a incredible brunch or dinner if you ask them. (Obviously you need to give them a day's notice and pay for the ingredients.) But each meal was flavorful and used the local spices and gave even the best local restaurants competition. And then the sunsets, sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine and some cheese. A perfect place. A perfect vacation.
