Villa Palermo’s classic beauty draws on the Caribbean-baroque style of architecture, featuring pillars in the classic Greek fashion holding up archways throughout the villa that open onto vaulted driftwood ceilings, large stone-tile floors, and heavy furniture of rich dark wood and woven wicker. The main room’s entertainment center, for instance, is has a classic baroque feeling, incorporating book-laden shelves on either side of the television which rises to a mantelpiece shelf. Or there are the double front doors with transom windows in the French-style that open into a foyer where a splendid wrought-iron, candelabra chandelier draws attention to a comfortable sitting room complete with a curio cabinet, sofa, and two ocher-suede armchairs.

The kitchen is in the country house style with pink terracotta walls, warm wooden cabinets, and bright white marble counter tops that sweep in an L shape past a pool-access archway; it constitutes the veranda bar, complete with stools and ocean views. A long dining table sits eight for an evening dining alfresco by the pool and looking out over the sea. Complimentary concierges can arrange for an in-house chef or catered event for guests who’d like to fully utilize Palermo’s ample space and luxury by sharing with company.

Palermo’s four bedrooms are two kings, one room that is a king with two twins, and one queen bedroom, sleeping ten in total. Each bedroom has air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, a television, wi-fi, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, vanity, and water closet. The ocean is visible from every room in the house.

The pool terrace spreads from the veranda to the seaside. There are two pools: one on the main pool deck that spills into the other on a second, lower-tiered pool deck. An unobstructed view of the ocean graces both, except for the balcony railing with Grecian pillars which offer romantic ambiance during sunset walks by the pool. Kayaks are also available for guests who’d prefer to enjoy the water in a more adventurous manner before returning to Villa Palermo for an in-house spa-treatment.
