Nestled deep inside the Seminyak estate of Laksmana is the picturesque Villa Des Indes I. This holiday home is a short five-minute walk from some of Bali’s best white-sand beaches. It promises to meet all your luxury vacation dreams and more.
Des Indes I was designed around a century-old teakwood building that used to house a Javan aristocrat. Now, it lends itself to flexible indoor and outdoor living with an open-air pavilion as well as two separate master bedroom pavilions. All of these are generously spaced with private verandas, libraries or dens, air-conditioned bathrooms, and—of course—outside showers.
Then, the two guest suites encompass the second story. Each of the bedrooms is decorated with colonial-era pieces, eastern textiles, heirloom curios, and original art pieces that bring the entire home together.
Outside, the beauty continues with a luxuriously large swimming pool at the center of a lush tropical garden. There are plenty of lounging chairs and umbrellas in the pool balé so you can relax in comfort.
No vacation home is complete without a full staff to make sure that you don’t have to lift a finger. Chefs, butlers, and a house manager help to take care of this multi-pavilion home and accommodate all your requests.
Close to the home is the bustling village, where you can head out and explore the beaches, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Don’t miss La Lucciola, Potato Head, Ku De Ta, or Samaya!
Des Indes I is particularly suited to one or two families with older kids (though toddlers are welcome too), as well as groups of friends. While up to 12 guests may be accommodated within the villa, a further 14 guests can stay in Des Indes II in the same estate. Please contact our villa specialist for more info.

Bedroom 3: Ground floor bedroom with a queen-size bed, A/C, flat-screen TV, dressing area, access to the veranda and en-suite bathroom with shower, garden bathtub, vanity and WC. 2 guests maximum.
Bedroom 4: Upper floor bedroom with two single beds, A/C, flat-screen TV, dressing area, access to the veranda and en-suite bathroom with shower, vanity and WC. 2 guests maximum.

While available for advanced requests, the concierge team connects with guests 30 days prior to arrival to coordinate arrivals and to reserve desired services and experiences. Guests with scheduled Christmas/New Year stays will be contacted 90 days prior to arrival.
For example, a 5 bedroom villa that offers a 3 bedroom rate will be the exclusive use of the guest but two bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms will be locked off. Capacity is capped at 2 guests per bedroom.
